Emord & Associates represents clients in drafting legislation and model constitutional amendments.
Firm principal Jonathan Emord has testified before Congress on FDA refusal to permit terminally ill patients to receive access to experimental treatments. He is often consulted by members of Congress concerning the meaning and import of regulations and legislation affecting human health. He has drafted legislation for members of Congress designed to prevent agencies of the federal government from violating the separation of powers and the rights of citizens.
Jonathan Emord is author of four books which examine the constitutional implications of bureaucratic society. Jonathan Emord is the 2007 recipient of the Cancer Control Society’s Humanitarian Award for tearing “down the walls of censorship” and for being “the freedom man.” Emord is the only non-lawyer ever appointed to the board of directors of the Certification Board for Nutrition Specialists and is a Vice Chair of that organization. He is a frequent invited speaker at conventions and events within the United States, noted for persuasive argument and command of the English language. Congressman Ron Paul (Ret) has said that “All freedom loving Americans are in debt to Jonathan Emord for his courtroom Ivictories on behalf of health freedom” and has said that his “many legal victories over the federal bureaucracy have made him a hero of the health freedom revolution.”
