Attorney Osse joined Emord & Associates as Of Counsel in 2012. Marije is Of Counsel at Emord & Associates and partner at a Dutch law firm, located in Brussels, Belgium.  Her practice focuses on European and Dutch law, in particular food and drug law related issues and antitrust matters.  In the field of food and drug law Marije has extensive experience in advising and litigation concerning food supplements, food, pesticides, emission rights and healthcare.  Her antitrust experience includes the filing of mergers, takeovers and joint ventures with the European

Commission and Dutch regulators, the representation of clients in cartel cases and advising on distribution networks and antitrust compliance programs.

Marije studied Law at the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands, and studied abroad at the University of Uppsalla, Sweden.  She has also worked at a law firm in Rome, Italy.

Marije is a member of the bars in The Netherlands and Brussels (Belgium, E-list) and as such is able to litigate before the Dutch Courts and the European Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights.  She can also represent clients in other European Member States through “best friend” relationships with law firms active in those Member States.  Her native language is Dutch; she is fluent in English and has a basic knowledge of German and Italian.  Marije is a member of the International Bar Association, the Association of Health Law and the Competition Law Association.  She is a guest lecturer at several universities and programs, such as the postdoctoral program in Compliance and Integrity Management at the VU University Amsterdam and Nyenrode Business University in the Netherlands.
